La plateforme de microblogging Tumblr débarque sur iPad

Tumblr, devenu le 9ème site le plus visité aux États-Unis, a mis à jour récemment son application native iOS pour supporter officiellement l’iPad et l’iPad Mini.

La célèbre plateforme de microblogging mise beaucoup sur les tablettes, et pour cause, elle a revu il y a quelques jours son application Android dans le but d’apporter la prise en charge des tablettes comme la Nexus 7. C’est au tour de l’application iOS de subir une mise à jour majeure qui inclut le support de Markdown, l’apparition d’un onglet Explorer et donc la compatibilité pour l’iPad.

Qu’on se le dise : au niveau des tablettes, la version iOS n’a clairement rien à envier à la version Android. Cette dernière est un peu déroutante car elle ressemble fortement à la version pour les smartphones et ne profite pas vraiment du large écran des tablettes, alors que la première est plus adaptée à l’iPad avec la barre de navigation sur le côté gauche.

Tumblr propose en tout cas une application complète, sur iOS et Android, avec la gestion de blogs multiples et la messagerie, l’accès à l’appareil photo pour simplifier le partage et le mode hors connexion.
